Akkodis is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Lancaster, NY.
Ideally, you will drive lean deployment, cost reduction, and production readiness for new programs. This role involves process improvement, capital expenditure justification, plant layout design, and project implementation. The ideal candidate will collaborate across functions to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure documentation accuracy, contributing to the development of innovative oxygen solutions for the aviation industry.
Salary: $70,000-85,000/Annum with benefits; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing process flow and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with design engineers on new product development and manufacturability.
- Analyze and justify capital expenditure projects, working with suppliers for equipment procurement.
- Develop and implement cost-reduction strategies, including time studies and labor-saving methods.
- Maintained operation sheets, processed Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and updated systems documentation in MFGPRO.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production timelines.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering/Technical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in manufacturing, with 2+ years in lean deployment.
- Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD preferred) and experience in aerospace manufacturing.
